EZ Data Customer Support

On June 10th DST Fan Mail will require that all users retrieve their data via HTTPS rather than through the FTP process.

You must convert to the new format before June10th 2004 or you risk the possibility of losing data files.

Review the steps below and download the CDS DST HTTP Conversion Instructions before downloading the conversion utility.

1. Download your files from DST using the current (FTP) process.
2. Uncompress (unzip) your files.
3. Process the files as normal or proceed to step 4.
4. After downloading, contact DST the same day to convert over from FTP to HTTPS (1-800-435-4112 option 2).
5. To update your CDS program, download the new HTTPS utility by clicking on DSTHTTPUTIL.zip. Unzip the file and run the DSTHTTPUtility.exe file.
6. After receiving notification from DST, update your DST password in CDS and download using the new HTTPS process.
7. As usual, you will be prompted to select whether or not you would like to delete the files that are in the current TDM/DST folder. It is important to click NO in case you did not process your files downloaded previously in step 3 using the old FTP transfer method.
8. If you delete your old files without processing them, your old FTP files may be lost and un-retrievable.
Failure to follow the above steps may result in lost data files!

The CDS DST HTTP Conversion Instructions have more detailed information concerning the process of converting from the FTP to the HTTPS protocol. Remember to read the instruction before downloading the DSTHTTPUTIL.zip file.
