Morgan Kenwood Receives Grand Prize in
E-Z Data’s Dynamic Report Contest

The Bullfinch Group is Named Runner Up

PASADENA, CA, August 23, 2005—E-Z Data, Inc., a leading provider of front-office systems for insurance companies, broker-dealers, general agents, agents, and investment advisors, today announced that Morgan Kenwood (Greendale, WI) was named the Grand Prize Winner of E-Z Data’s 2005 Dynamic Report™ Contest. E-Z Data created the award to recognize its clients for their innovative use of Dynamic Reports within the company’s Windows®-based Client Data System® solution. Morgan Kenwood took the prize with its ‘New Potential Clients Report’ submitted by Jane Schliz in the office of Lee Barzack. The Bullfinch Group was named the Runner Up for the ‘Grandchildren for Insurance Report’ submitted by Denise Wahl in the office of Barry Zimmerman.

Client Data System (CDS) is a practice and agency management application designed to address the specialized requirements of insurance agents and financial advisors. To further support the business needs of each client organization, the solution facilitates fast, easy creation of Dynamic Reports – custom reports that are created by the user to leverage existing client data for a specific and unique need.

Investment firm Morgan Kenwood holds seven seminars each year on topics such as retirement and estate planning. Jane Schliz of Lee Barzack’s office has created a ‘New Potential Client’ report. The report is designed to help the president, owner, or management of a firm to track the status of potential clients who have attended a seminar. The report makes it easy to track follow-up activities for each prospect, as well as determine which prospects who came into the system via referral, walk-in, or other method have attended a seminar or other marketing event. The report also identifies clients who have made numerous referrals, giving advisors the information they need to identify centers of influence and thank their loyal clients.

“This report is integral to the sales process at Morgan Kenwood,” says Schliz. “It gives us the ability to easily track the effectiveness of seminars and sales staff, and it helps us identify the workflow in the office and what it takes to get a client on board. By customizing these fields, we’ve been able to facilitate our business processes and really integrate CDS at every level of our business.”

Denise Wahl of The Bullfinch Group took the honor of Runner Up with the ‘Grandchildren for Insurance’ report. The report includes a filter that identifies all grandchildren of a given contact. “The ‘Grandchildren for Insurance’ report, along with others we’ve developed, has helped open up lots of new marketing opportunities,” says Wahl. She stresses that E-Z Data’s support team has been invaluable in helping the office take full advantage of all CDS has to offer. “We use CDS in every aspect of our business now. I live by it!”

Both winning Dynamic Reports are available for download to existing Client Data System clients via the online CDS Training and Support Center.
